Entry 1: Delving Deeper

My focus of late has often been narrowed towards manipulation of the bodies of others, predominantly through the inception of pain. Instructions given to nerves, which then relay further. I was watching for it, last night, as the participants of a lesson held by one of our Sith stepped into vats of boiling liquid. Watching for their reactions, their bodies to test their limits and the pain to bloom in the pattern I have come to be oft able to predict.

Yet, I felt something. Something outside my expectations. A pull. A draw, not of my personal interest but of something else - an unknown. As their skin blistered and boils burst, mixing fluids with the brackish water, something called to me within each of them. An itch, deep beneath the skin that one immediately desires to scratch.

I am aware of the irony of my wording given what the phrase 'beneath the skin' might currently entail, yet that best describes the sensation. Yet that itch was external as well. As if there was something I could draw upon, something the liquid was embedding within their wounds. Not a drain, per say - that focuses on the fatigue of another; energy transferred. This was something more corporeal and intrinsic.

This concept, this itch is currently outside my understanding; a matter that will be remedied. It is time to delve deeper and further my understanding - especially if there is another means of anatomical manipulation that lies outside my current grasp and ability.

Entry 2: The Intoxication of Youth

The pull. The itch. I felt it again, this time in the presence of a youth that sought to intoxicate themselves in order to numb their senses to what occurred around them.

I can draw the toxins out; pull them from within their frame and into my own, even as I force their bodies to adjust to the new sense of normal I impose. But the itch. It poses another question... when I draw from others, either through a drain or as energy pours into me and I'm forced to absorb or redirect it - it has a potential for use. Does this as well?

Theoretically it should be possible; it's merely another form of energy - especially as I take the toxin from others and cope with it myself. But there is always a cost. Detoxification is never 'free', it leaves its mark on the frame of its subject, be that myself, another, or a combination as I draw the substance from them.

What, then, are the limits? Will it be possible to draw from more than one individual at a time? What will be the cost, versus the potential? Will it be exponential, or linear?

I won't know until I try.

Entry 3: Spoilage

Spoilage. We've crashed deep within the frozen mountains of northern Varkesh on Ekirus, and are forced to scavenge the frozen wasteland for any bounty it may have in order to successfully manage a journey south. This means finding food - yet despite the frigid conditions some of our scavenged food supply has begun to spoil.

Bacteria infest it and have begun to eat away at solid matter, creating rot and decay. Expected with any food source, though perhaps less so in current conditions which should provide refrigeration, and yet... this too has potential.

If bacteria and microorganisms can be pervasive enough to spoil food sources in even as frigid conditions as we currently find ourselves in... what more can be done? Could I viably force the matter on an otherwise healthy subect? Make them rot from the inside out, turning something otherwise benign or at the very least 'dormant' into a plague?

Now is not the time to test this theory. For the moment I shall continue to study the growth of decay occurring before my eyes. Once we've successfully extracted from Ekirus, true testing can begin.

Entry 4: Decay

It feels simple, in theory. I can control diseases within my own body, hindering their progress and ability to propagate; if I can stop them, the opposite should be true. Excite them, bolster them, force them into a sense of overdrive much as I would do with the internals of someone I was attempting to detoxify even as I drew the toxin from their system.

I have no viable living subjects at the moment to test my theory on, yet until we move I have this food that has somehow spoiled. The microorganisms that are so very 'stubborn' that they're able to eke out an existence in this place where they should normally enter a state of hibernation. I was able to touch them. Influence them. Increase the decay... perhaps. Hunger is playing tricks on my mind, thus I cannot be sure I'm not merely seeing what I want to.

Still. It is promising.
