The Riches of Yankun
A Domuum Conflict

09b255a65a414c2fd2717e4bb005c3f4.png

A public rivalry between the Dekidis and Valtorin domuum has erupted in the last few days, sparked by a dispute over the mineral-rich central mountains of Galia on the newly resettled planet of Yankun. Traditionally a Valtorin fife, Norak Dekidis is now asserting a claim to thirty percent of the resource rich mountain range through his marriage to Livia Valtorin. Meanwhile Jellus Valtorin is denouncing the Dekidis claim, declaring it illegitimate so long as he draws breath.

Although the dispute over mining rights has been ongoing since the marriage of Norak and Livia, the recent elevation of both families to the status of domuum has embolden both sides. With the Dark Lord choosing not to intervene, leaving both domuum to settle the matter themselves, both the Dekidis and Valtorins are now seeking allies to try and tip the balance in their favour.

As both families prepare for an extended contest of economic, military, and political power, the rapidly unfolding conflict threatens to reshape not only Yankun but the wider Zula Dominion. With personal betrayal, ambition, and the quest for dominance driving both sides, the battle for the central mountains is set to reverberate far beyond the newly resettled planet.

The disputed region on Yankuun

Tensions on the recently resettled world of Yankun have escalated as the Dekidis and Valtorin families, both recently promoted to the status of domuum, clash over mining rights in the central mountain range of Galia. Norak Dekidis, through his marriage to Livia Valtorin, has declared that the Dekidis Domuum now holds rightful claim over a large slice of valuable territory long controlled by the Valtorins. This unexpected challenge has infuriated Jellus Valtorin, igniting a fierce conflict that will be waged across three primary spheres of power: Economic, Military, and Political.

Now player characters within Perfidious will have a chance to influence the outcome of this conflict by offering their Influence, Wealth or Military to help sway the balance of power. Each domuum's current rating in these three spheres can be tracked on their respective page within the archives, and these values will be adjusted as Sith and Operatives offer their support. The family that emerges victorious across the most spheres will gain control of the resource-rich lands, cementing their power on Yankun.

Players will interact with the two houses through negotiations and formal communications, allowing them to decide how deeply they wish to involve themselves in the conflict. Over the course of the arc, a series of news updates will reflect the changing fortunes of each family, giving players a chance to adjust their strategies or increase their stakes in the outcome.

When at last the conflict reaches its conclusion and winners are decided, the Sith and Operatives who backed the winning side will receive rich rewards. Those who backed the losing side may lose resources and status as a result of their defeat.

Contacting a Domuum

Characters who wish to reach out to a domuum to offer their support can do it through one of two ways. First they may send a comm message to a member of each domuum using the ticket system. Here you can negotiate with the leaders or members, offering them your support in exchange for a slice of the rewards.

49465f9cedde0260d49025a92b593e51.png

The second way to communicate with the domuum will be through in-game interactions where a member of each family will turn up over the coming months to have more personal interactions with characters.

Wealth Support

If you want to support a domuum with Wealth you can do this by simply making a roll in the Wealth and Influence channel on Discord for the amount you wish to donate. For example if you want to donate Rank 3 wealth you may simply make a normal asset roll for rank 3, stating that you are donating wealth to a domuum. You do not t need to state which one it goes to, the choice of revealing that is up to you.

You may also offer hard assets you own to a domuum, removing them from your powerbase to add to their own wealth. The asset will be deemed to hold the contribution value of its current wealth rating.

Whether you do this publicly or anonymously, please make sure you submit a ticket to make clear you've made a donation.

Political Support

Political support is much easier to give, as all it requires is a public statement of your support for a particular domuum. In doing so, your character is acknowledging to the wider Dominion that they are given their backing to one claim or the other - and they will be judged accordingly. Especially if they back the losing side.

Your characters influence rating will decide how much impact their support gives and although only a single statement of support is required to commit your character to the cause, continued statements of support will help solidify your characters intent in this conflict.

Please note that if you back the losing side, you will not lose any influence, but you may suffer an impediment when applying for the next influence rank for a time. This impediment will not necessarily stop you reaching the next rank though, it may just require you to do a bit more or wait for it to timeout.

Military Support

If your character has soldiers or ships at their command, they may offer them in support of one of the domuum's. Upon doing so these assets will be considered "committed" though and cannot be used by your own character until the conflict is resolved. When the conflict ends, the soldiers and ships are returned. These military forces are assumed to be on (or in orbit over) Yankun.

The use of Imperial soldiers is possible, but comes with additional risks. Should bloodshed occur, it's more likely to draw the wrath of the Dark Lord if Imperials are killing each other.

Please note that if you commit military resources, they may be lost if fighting occurs.

Shadow War and Proxy Conflict

Though direct attacks between Sith or Operatives are forbidden by the Dark Lord, players may use this as an opportunity to engage in a proxy conflict with a rival. If your character holds a long-term grudge against another member of the powerbase who supports the Dekidis, they can offer support to the Valtorin domuum, or perhaps even negotiate a deal with Norak Dekidis that results in their betraying the rival. They can make public statements insulting their rival and their support to try undermine their influence, or even offer military forces to directly attack the rivals assets on Yankun.

Much is possible, all you need do is submit a ticket to the relevant family and they can act as a vehicle for your characters ambitions.

Other Interactions

This scenario is intended as a bit of a blank page where interactions beyond the scope of what is already mentioned are possible, provided they do not require any significant DM input. There's no plans to run events for this and should your character try and do something like sneaking into the enemy base to sabotage their systems, the DM response will be brief. But beyond that, most anything is possible - just log it in the inbox.

Victory Conditions

Each Domuum will have three core values—Economic, Military, and Political—that fluctuate as player characters lend their support. By the end of the campaign, the Domuum with the highest total score in two out of three of these spheres will secure the mining rights and the spoils of victory.

The only thing that will alter the victory conditions is an especially clever move by one side supported by player characters.

The Dark Lords Wrath

The Dark Lord has decided not to involve himself directly in this matter. Both domuums have already offered him things to secure their ascension, and neither domuum has anything more to offer him that he'd consider worthwhile.

As long as the conflict remains limited to Yankun and does not threaten a wider conflict, the Dark Lord should have no reason to involve himself. Should the conflict grow too large, or should he feel the stability of the Dominion or his powerbase is at risk, he will unleash righteous fury upon those he deems responsible.

Dominion Attitudes

Another thing to consider is that the Dekidis Domuum is popular amongst Imperials and the Empire, but the Valtorin's are more popular in the wider Dominion where those not born of the Empire see the rise of Jellus Valtorin as worthy of celebration.

Domuum Roleplay

Finally, I am looking for two players who might be interested in taking on the opportunity to play Horik Valtorin or Declan Dekidis. These characters will act as representatives of their respective Domuum and be able to negotiate with player characters (updating the DM via the Officer Inbox on any successful negotiations). They will have free access to the powerbase and although they will not be considered player characters for the duration of the conflict, there is potential they could be converted into that.

To play these roles you'd need to be someone who can be active, who is able to play according to the descriptions already provided, and who will pursue victory for their domuum through clever politics. So please don't sign up if you cannot play that sort of role, as it will ultimately undermine the whole scenario.

Ideally you need to be a player whose main character is not currently working on promotion trials or who has an established responsibility, especially if you've limited time. These characters are instead best suited to someone who has a well established character, who is content with where that character is for now and who is able to offer some free time to dip in as one of the two charming heirs.

If you are interested, please log an inbox request.

Dekidis on the move
We have received reports that Norak Dekidis has began to mobilise his security forces on Zula IV, with many speculating that he is planning to send a portion of them, under the command of Ruben Dekidis, to Yankun. The ZNN believes Norak's intends to occupy his claim with enough manpower that the Valtorin's have no choice but to accede to his demands.

In response, Jellus Valtorin has begun offering contracts to mercenary companies willing to travel to Yankun to secure his control of the rich mines of central Galia.

Sabotage on Zula?
We have received reports from Torren's Landing that the Dekidis fleet, currently being made ready to transport soldiers to Yankun, has suffered a series of mechanical setbacks. The freighters are now grounded, delaying Dekidis transportation for at least a week. Although unproven, many believe agents of the Valtorin Domuum may have sabotaged the ships, allowing them an opportunity to hire much needed mercenaries to support their own claim.

Currently the Valtorin's are offering generous sums to anyone who can provide them manpower, whilst the Dekidis eagerly seek freighters to ship their own forces to Yankun.

Raise a toast to Lord Rhozan
In a bold move that has shifted the balance of the ongoing conflict between the Dekidis and Valtorin domuums, Lord Rhozan, the esteemed Lord Artificer of Perfidious, has stepped forward to offer critical support to the Dekidis Domuum. Sources confirm that Lord Rhozan has provided a heavy freighter, alongside twenty-five combat droids, to bolster the Dekidis forces.

With the aid of this freighter, Norak Dekidis will now be able to deploy troops and resources to secure the contested territories, a move that significantly strengthens his claim to the mineral-rich region.

Imperials across Zula IV and throughout the Dominion are tonight raising a glass in honour of Lord Rhozan, praising his commitment to supporting a true Imperial of the Empire. Many believe that this gesture will not only tip the scales in the Dekidis’ favour but also reaffirm the loyalty and unity of the Empire’s ruling elite in times of internal conflict.

Current Situation
100 Dekidis soldiers, supported by 25 combat droids are now on the ground in the disputed zone. They are currently setting up a base camp and establishing a secure perimeter.

Although the freighter supplied by Lord Rhozan has allowed them to ship over enough supplies to sustain them for the next few weeks, they are very much dependent on the repair of their own ships to provide long-term logistics.

Thus far, no Valtrorin forces have materialised to stake the claim of Jellus Valtorin.

Gossip on the streets
Ruben the Butcher
Rumors have begun to swirl on the streets of Torren's Landing, carried from ear to ear in hushed whispers and tense conversations. The name on everyone's lips is Ruben Dekidis, scion of the powerful Dekidis family, and the stories being told are dark indeed. It is said that during the reconquest of Zula IV, Ruben personally cut down women and children—alien families who posed no threat, slaughtered in their homes. His alleged words, spoken with cold disdain, echo through the markets and alleys: "I cannot stomach to look at these vile creatures!"

Among the city's Imperial citizens, the whispers seem to hold little weight. Indifference marks their response, as if the blood of aliens is not a matter for their concern. But among the alien population, outrage burns. For them, these stories are not just rumors—they are a bitter reminder of their place under the Empire’s heel.

Speculation has begun to surface about the source of these allegations. Some claim that the Valtorin family are behind the rumours, stirring unrest to weaken their opponents’ standing. The Valtorin Domuum have remained silent on the matter, neither confirming nor denying their involvement, while Ruben and his family vehemently deny the charges. They claim the stories are nothing more than baseless slander designed to discredit their name and stir unnecessary division.

Yet, the rumours persist. Whether true or false, they have taken root, and in the shadows of Torren's Landing, Ruben Dekidis has become a figure of whispered horror. The truth remains elusive, but the damage, for many, is already done.

Prime Influence
In a move that has further solidified the Dekidis domuum’s standing within the Domion, Prime Leyrah Sendahl has publicly declared her support for their claim to the disputed mining rights of Yankun. The statement, which comes amid growing tensions between the powerful Dekidis and Valtorin families, has further tipped the balance in the formers favour.

Citing both marriage and inheritance as the legitimate basis of the Dekidis claim, she accused Valtorins of clinging to greed and avarice. Her words have intensified the already fraught situation, with the Valtorins having now been accused of undermining the region's stability in their pursuit to maintain control.

Observers have taken note of the Prime’s decision to weigh in on the matter, with many speculating about her motives. What does Prime Leyrah stand to gain by backing the Dekidis family? Some suggest this public support might curry favour with traditional Imperials of the Dominion, while others wonder if Leyrah seeks a broader stake in the outcome of Yankun’s lucrative mining operations.

Regardless of her intentions, Prime Leyrah’s message has strengthened the Dekidis family's position, further complicating the Valtorins’ efforts to defend their interests on Yankun. The question now on everyone’s mind is whether the Valtorins can withstand this political manoeuvre, or if the Dekidis, bolstered by such high-profile support, will emerge victorious in the dispute.

Camp Rhozan Established

69ff3fa534471111c2acfb8e91b2f495.jpg

The Dekidis Domuum has escalated its efforts to secure its claim over the disputed mining territory on Yankun with the establishment of Camp Rhozan. Located deep within the uninhabited wilderness, the camp now serves as a base of operations for the Dekidis’ military presence in the region. Patrols of Dekidis soldiers and droids have begun sweeping the territory, though with the vastness of the land, their efforts are largely symbolic. In such a sprawling expanse, two armies could manoeuvre for weeks without encountering each other.

Despite the remote nature of the area, security at Camp Rhozan remains tight. The Dekidis have erected four watchtowers around the camp to monitor the region for any sign of Valtorin movement. Although the likelihood of an immediate clash remains low, these watchtowers are seen as a precautionary measure as the dispute between the two domuum continues to simmer.

While the patrols may be more about showing strength than maintaining real control, the Dekidis have made it clear that they are not backing down in their pursuit of the lucrative mining rights on Yankun.

The Prime and the Sith
The political rift between the Valtorin and Dekidis Domuums continues to deepen as Prime Tiln'anar and Sith Zazault have stepped into the fray, openly declaring their allegiance in the ongoing dispute. Tiln'anar, the Venator of the Zula Dominion, has thrown her weight behind the Valtorin Domuum, whilst+ Sith Zazault has voiced his support for the Dekidis.

Prime Tiln'anar’s Bold Declaration

Tiln'anar’s endorsement of the Valtorin Domuum marks the first public backing by a Sith for their claim. In a sharp rebuke of the Dekidis Domuum, she criticized their claim to Yankuun’s mining rights as not only premature but also a sign of greed. She framed their manoeuvre as lacking in strategic foresight, contrasting it with the rightful ownership of the Valtorin family.

"The very definition of inheritance requires death... Dominus Jellus Valtorin is very much alive, and thus any claim made to inheritance is not only pre-emptive, it displays an outright greed on the part of the Dekidis Domuum."

Tiln'anar’s message made it clear that she sees the Valtorin Domuum as legitimate stewards of their assets and dismissed the Dekidis claim as fundamentally flawed.

"With this statement I declare my support for the Valtorin Domuum in their claim to what has always been theirs... May they see the fruits of those rights better the Dominion as a whole, and further its prosperity."

Her statement has sent ripples through the Dominion’s political landscape, placing her in stark opposition to figures like Lord Rhozan and Prime Leyrah, who have openly stated their support for the Dekidis claim.

Sith Zazault’s Support for Dekidis

Shortly after Tiln'anar’s statement, Sith Zazault emerged to challenge her stance, aligning himself with the Dekidis Domuum. Though Zazault lacks the political influence of a Sith Prime or Lord, his public declaration represents a different faction within the Sith ranks that is critical of the Valtorin family’s methods.

In a sharply worded statement, Zazault accused the Valtorin Domuum of using "subversions, machinations, and subterfuge" to undermine the rightful claim of Dekidis. He framed the Valtorin as acting outside the bounds of Imperial decorum, while praising the Dekidis for their adherence to proper procedures and values.

"Domuum Valtorin has shown us these past few days their true colors... Instead of handling matters with honor and dignity, they embrace sabotage and slander."

Zazault further positioned Dekidis as the more responsible stewards of Yankuun’s assets:

"They have shown themselves to be proper stewards of Imperial principles in this affair, and our grand dominion's bountiful riches are better served by their care."

While Zazault’s lower rank limits his political sway, his comments are notable for amplifying the Dekidis cause among by expressing a different angle to the narrative. His emphasis on "civilized society" and "Imperial principles" suggests that the conflict may not be merely about mining rights but also about the values that underpin governance in the Zula Dominion.

A Growing Divide

The opposing declarations from Prime Tiln'anar and Sith Zazault further highlight the growing political divide within the Dominion. Tiln'anar’s support for the Valtorin cause carries significant weight, as her influence and standing as Venator could rally additional Sith and political allies to the Valtorin side. Zazault, though less well known, represents a faction critical of Valtorin’s methods.

With the latest developments, it is clear that the Zula Dominion’s political landscape is rapidly shifting as more Sith and influential figures take sides. How this will affect the balance of power remains to be seen, but it is evident that the Valtorin-Dekidis dispute has become more than just a territorial clash—it is a test of political allegiances and Imperial principles.

Valtorin Domuum establishes a foothold
In a significant escalation of the ongoing dispute over Yankuun’s mining rights, the Valtorin Domuum has landed its own forces on the planet. A camp of approximately fifty soldiers, supported by a unit of combat droids, has been established roughly fifty kilometers north of Camp Rhozan, a key site held by the Dekidis Domuum.

Although no high-ranking Valtorin commander is currently on the ground, the presence of these forces signals a clear show of support for the Valtorin cause. The deployment of troops further intensifies the already volatile situation on Yankuun, where tensions between the Valtorin and Dekidis Domuums are mounting.

The Twi'lek Dilemma: A Reflection on Biological Limitations
48917f9cd5166084d8dafb6046238efc.jpg

A rutian twi'lek serving as an empty-headed slave.

In this evenings edition of Dominion Times, Ruben Dekidis has kindly offered to share some of his impressive wisdom on a subject he holds close to his heart.

In the grand tapestry of the galaxy, the Twi'lek species presents a curious case study of biological and intellectual inferiority. As loyal subjects of the Sith Empire, it is imperative that we examine the inherent limitations of this species, particularly in light of their role within our esteemed society.

From a biological standpoint, Twi'leks exhibit several characteristics that suggest an evolutionary stagnation. Their vibrant skin tones and distinct lekku may be aesthetically pleasing, yet these traits serve primarily to distract from their lack of cognitive prowess. The average Twi'lek displays a remarkable deficiency in critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. This is not merely an observation but a reality that has been consistently evidenced in various interspecies interactions.

Particularly among Twi'lek females, we find a troubling trend. While their physical allure to the weaker willed of our Empire, it has often been utilized to exploit their limited intellectual capabilities. These women are frequently relegated to roles that emphasize their beauty over their minds. This has led to a societal norm where Twi'lek females are valued for little more than their ability to please, whether in the lavish courts of the elite or in less reputable establishments.

The Twi'lek penchant for dance and performance, while culturally significant, serves to highlight their lack of ambition beyond superficial endeavors. This is not a species that strives for intellectual or technological advancement. Instead, they remain mired in a cycle of dependency, often relying on the more capable species to guide their affairs. The Sith Empire recognizes the value of efficiency, and thus, it becomes evident that Twi'leks are best suited for roles that do not require cognitive engagement.

Furthermore, the Twi'lek propensity for emotional expression often clouds their judgment, leading to impulsive decisions and actions that lack foresight. Such traits render them unreliable allies in the grand schemes of the Empire. It is our duty as Imperials to acknowledge these shortcomings and make decisions that ensure the strength and stability of our great Empire.

In conclusion, while the Twi'lek species may contribute to the aesthetic diversity of the Empire, we must not forget the underlying truths of their biological and mental limitations. As we continue to build a future under the banner of the Sith, let us remember that true strength lies in intelligence and capability, qualities that the Twi'lek species, especially their females, seem profoundly unable to provide. It is with a measured approach that we must evaluate their place within our societal structure, ensuring that we harness their potential in a way that serves the Empire's best interests.

Say it with me: "Twi'lek belong on their knees!"

...If you're into that sort of thing.

A Buzz in the Air
The Valtorin family has recently received a significant boost in support from an unknown benefactor, bolstering their position with the addition of 80 armed mercenaries, an armed freighter and most critically, several starfighters.

The Valtorin's newly acquired starfighters are already making their presence felt on Yankun. Throughout the night, they have flown low over Camp Rhozan, causing deafening roars and disturbing the peace of the camp. This tactic, meant to interrupt sleep cycles and unnerve the troops, has also been used to intimidate the recently repaired Dekidis freighters. Despite these efforts, the Dekidis soldiers have remained disciplined, refusing to rise to the provocations. While irritated by the nightly disruption, their resolve remains firm, a testament to their rigorous training.

Meanwhile the Dekidis Domuum appears to be preparing for a strategic response, planning to send additional manpower to Yankun in an effort to counterbalance the Valtorin's reinforcements. This move, though necessary, may strain their security presence on Zula IV, where their remaining forces will need to take on longer shifts to maintain control over their existing contracts.

The critical issue for the Dekidis remains their lack of starfighters, a factor that may leave them at a disadvantage should open conflict arise. Their reliance on ground forces, while formidable, could see them struggle against the Valtorin's air superiority. The situation on both planets continues to escalate, with neither side willing to back down as the balance of power shifts.

Holonet Article
Ruben Dekidis Is a Monster
An anonymous article was published on the Dominion holonet in the early hours of this evening, and although efforts were made to purge it, the article was quickly reposted widely across the holonet. The text below is reproduced in its original format. The author is unknown.

--------------------------
Ruben Dekidis is a name that strikes fear into the hearts of many across the Dominion. Known for his ruthless leadership and violent methods, his rise through the ranks of the Imperial military has been marred by whispered accusations of war crimes, xenophobia, and acts of horrifying cruelty. But, interviews with those who’ve served under him and witnessed his actions reveal a far darker story.

Through exclusive interviews with anonymous soldiers, officers, and others who have come into contact with Ruben Dekidis, this article uncovers the grim truth behind the man many refer to as The Butcher of Zula IV. The disturbing accounts challenge not only Ruben’s competence as a military leader, but also expose his dangerous obsession with pointless violence and cruelty, particularly towards non-humans.

The Atrocities of Zula IV: A Campaign of Fear

"He didn’t just lead the troops—he massacred civilians with no second thought ," said one former person who served in Dekidis’ unit. "We were ordered to target civilians. Whole apartment blocks were wiped out. Women, children—it didn’t matter. Especially if the targets were alien."

The brutality of the campaign was staggering, even by Imperial standards, with many attributing the most heinous acts to Ruben himself. Sources describe how Ruben personally led “cleansing operations” in alien-heavy sections of Torren's Landing.

One officer, who requested anonymity for fear of retribution, claimed that Dekidis' actions went far beyond any official orders. "He hated the Twi'leks especially. It was more than just carrying out Imperial policy—it was personal." the officer continued. "There were times when more strategic actions could have been taken, but Ruben didn’t care about winning efficiently—he wanted to destroy his enemies, especially if they weren’t human."

These brutal actions have led many to question why Dekidis has not faced investigation or even a court martial for his incompetence.

"Everyone knew what was happening, but no one spoke out," another witness said. "The Dekidis name carries weight. His family’s connections protect him from any real accountability. But make no mistake—if any other officer had done what he did, they’d face consequences for slaughtering Imperial citizens caught up in the fray."

"We were more afraid of him than we were of the enemy," another soldier confessed. "You didn’t question his orders. If you did, you’d be the next one on the chopping block or worse, invited to the hunting-grounds.”

The Dark Side of His Hunts: Sentient Beings as Prey?

Beyond the battlefield, disturbing rumours persist about Dekidis’ "hunting expeditions" on his family’s estate, rumours that, if true, would expose a new level of depravity. While Ruben is known to be a skilled hunter, sources close to the family claim that not all of his prey are non-sentient creatures.

"There’s always been talk," said one former servant of the Dekidis estate. "People go missing around the estate sometimes, and they say Ruben's behind it. His hunts aren’t always for animals."

Other sources back this claim, suggesting that Ruben’s hunts involve alien prisoners or even Imperials who have fallen out of favour with Ruben. While no concrete evidence has emerged to confirm this horrific practice, the whispers are impossible to ignore.

"Those who work for the family know to stay quiet," the servant continued. "But anyone who’s been around long enough knows the truth—he hunts sentient people. It’s a game to him. I don't care about the aliens, but Imperials?!"

A Brutal Mask for Incompetence?

As horrifying as these accounts are, what makes them even more alarming is the growing belief that Ruben Dekidis’ brutality is a cover for his deep-seated incompetence as a military leader.

"He’s not a leader—he’s a thug," said one former officer who served under Dekidis during the Dominion campaigns. "His tactics are brutal, but they’re also sloppy. He doesn’t understand strategy. He only knows how to terrify people into submission."

Several anonymous sources have echoed this sentiment, describing a commander who relies solely on violence and fear to maintain control, lacking the tactical skill and strategic foresight necessary for effective leadership.

"He hides behind his cruelty," another officer explained. "But anyone who’s fought under him knows the truth—he’s not fit to lead. His family’s name is the only reason he’s gotten as far as he has. Without that, he’d have been removed from command years ago."

However, as more come forward to speak out anonymously, the question remains: How long can Ruben Dekidis hide and weaken the Empire with his incompetence?

Mara Virnasi extols Dekidis Domuum

In a bold declaration, Sith Mara Virnasi has publicly announced her support for the Dekidis Domuum, marking yet another step in the growing trend of Sith backing their claim. Though Sith Virnasi is not typically known for making high-profile endorsements, her statement contributes to the mounting public support within the Sith ranks for the Dekidis family.

Addressing the people of the Zula Dominion, Virnasi affirmed the legitimacy of the Dekidis claim, aligning it with Imperial traditions and praising their loyalty and strength. In sharp contrast, her statement took aim at the Valtorins, criticizing their recent actions and accusing them of clinging to wealth that "is no longer theirs," comparing their conduct to "wamp rats on a sinking barge."

Virnasi emphasized that in a time of war, strength and resourcefulness must take precedence, and she expressed confidence in the Dekidis Domuum's tactical capabilities. “With the resources that are rightfully theirs by marriage,” Virnasi stated, “it would only boost the strength of the Empire.” In her view, further empowering the Valtorin family would be "feeding gluttons" who waste Imperial resources, adding that their behaviour represents a grave insult to those who have fought for the advancement of the great houses.

This latest statement from Sith Virnasi reveals an ongoing shift in the political landscape, as more Sith rally behind the Dekidis Domuum in what is becoming a larger conversation on the future balance of power within the Dominion.

Camara Valtorin Accepts Prestigious Position with Lord Y'vass

In a development that has stirred speculation across the Dominion, Camara Valtorin, the poised and highly regarded second daughter of Jellus Valtorin, has accepted a coveted position under Lord Dulenir, also known by her given name, Y'vass—wife to the Dark Lord himself. While the exact nature of Camara’s new role remains under wraps, many see this appointment as a potential indicator of where the Dark Lord's favor may be shifting, though nothing is certain.

Camara's future responsibilities remain a subject of much debate. Some believe she is being groomed for a role within Lord Dulenir's illustrious fashion empire, Evinance, a company that holds substantial sway among the Dominion’s upper echelons. Others, however, suspect she may be stepping into a more politically charged position, assisting Lord Dulenir in the governance of Zyxar, the agriculturally rich planet she governs.

Regardless of the specifics, Camara is expected to work closely with Lord Dulenir in the coming months, a proximity that has led many to speculate about how the Valtorin Domuum might benefit from this newfound connection. With tensions brewing between the Valtorins and the influential Dekidis family, some observers believe that Camara’s sharp political instincts and this close alliance with Lord Dulenir could be the key to bolstering her family’s position within the Dominion’s power structure.

While the implications of this appointment remain to be seen, the news has reignited discussions about the inner workings of the Dominions governance. Some interpret it as a sign of the Dark Lord’s quiet endorsement of the Valtorin Domuum, while others are hesitant to read too much into the move given Lord Y'vass' independence from her husband.

Whatever her future role, one thing is clear: Camara Valtorin is now positioned closer than ever to the centre of power, and her next steps will be closely watched by friend and rival alike.

Valtorin's repay favour?

Before her departure from Zula IV, Camara Valtorin was spotted enjoying a private dinner with her father, Jellus Valtorin, and her brother, Horik Valtorin. What caught the attention of onlookers, however, was the matching jewelled broaches all three wore, each bearing a logo unfamiliar to most. Speculation quickly arose that this subtle symbol was a nod of support to Prime Tiln’anar, who recently made a public declaration in favor of the Valtorin Domuum's claim in the ongoing mining dispute.

Though the gesture was modest and could easily have been overlooked, several commentators believe the personal nature of the display speaks volumes about the Valtorins’ strategy. Rather than grand overtures, this small but deliberate choice is seen by many as a quiet signal: the Valtorins are aligning themselves with those who back them in their claim, further strengthening their political network.

In the ever-shifting landscape of Dominion politics, such a personal and calculated display may be more than just a simple accessory—it could indicate the Valtorins' intent to reward their allies and consolidate power.

Dekidis Reinforcements Arrive
In a decisive move to solidify their position in the ongoing Yankun mining dispute, the Dekidis Domuum has dispatched an additional 100 soldiers from Zula IV to Camp Rhozan. This significant reinforcement has bolstered their ground presence on Yankun, giving them a strategic advantage in numbers over the Valtorin forces. However, this surge in troops has stretched the Dekidis manpower on Zula IV thin, raising concerns about the security of their holdings there.

While the Dekidis now outnumber the Valtorins on the ground, their forces remain vulnerable to air attack. Without starfighters to protect Camp Rhozan from potential aerial assaults, the Dekidis troops and droids are exposed to the superior air capabilities of the Valtorin Domuum.

As the conflict between the two noble houses continues to escalate, it remains to be seen how the Dekidis will address their air defense vulnerability, and whether the Valtorins will seize the opportunity to strike from above.

Known Dekidis forces on Yankun

200 soldiers
25 droids
1 medium armed armed freighter

Known Valtorin forces on Yankun

130 soldiers
25 droids
5 starfighters

First Blood

Tensions between the Valtorin and Dekidis Domuums escalated into violence last night, as both sides exchanged fire in the first recorded clash of the ongoing Yankun mining dispute. The encounter occurred when two patrols, each consisting of roughly a dozen soldiers, unexpectedly crossed paths in the darkness. While the exact cause of the confrontation remains unclear, both sides opened fire upon one another, leading to casualties on both sides.

The Dekidis patrol sustained two wounded soldiers, who were swiftly evacuated back to Camp Rhozan for medical treatment. Meanwhile, the Valtorin patrol was forced to retreat after suffering four fatalities and two wounded.

As expected, both factions are blaming each other for the skirmish. Dekidis forces claim the Valtorins initiated the attack, while the Valtorins assert they were ambushed. Tensions have only risen further, with both sides vowing to shoot on sight should they meet again.

While the Dekidis have Ruben Dekidis commanding their troops on the ground, the Valtorins lack a similar direct presence, as Horik Valtorin remains on Zula IV, engaging in diplomatic efforts. However, the Valtorins retain a significant advantage in the skies, thanks to their starfighters, which could prove crucial in any future confrontations.

Although no official report on the clash has hit the Zula News Network, rumours of it have reached Zula IV and beyond.

Known Dekidis forces on Yankun

198 soldiers (2 wounded)
25 droids
1 medium armed freighter

Known Valtorin forces on Yankun

124 soldiers (4 killed, 2 wounded)
25 droids
5 starfighters
1 medium armed freighter

Beyond the battlefield
Imperial attitudes shift

In recent weeks, the Dominion has experienced a subtle but significant shift in response to Prime Tiln'anar's and Sith Qana Verda's support for the Valtorin cause. Among the Dominion's Imperial citizens—who comprise around 20% of the population—there has been a quiet but growing rejection of Tiln'anar's products and services. Though her business operations remain profitable, the decline in prestige among the Imperial elite is unmistakable. Once a hallmark of sophistication, her brands are now being discreetly avoided in favor of alternatives, with social circles viewing this as a marker of loyalty to Imperial values.

However, among the Dominion’s non-Imperial and alien populations, Tiln'anar has quietly gained support. These groups, especially the wealthy non-citizens who fear that the Dekidis family's actions could set a dangerous precedent for the seizure of property, have started to show subtle signs of solidarity. Instead of rallying openly, they are spending a little more on Tiln'anar's brands and raising discreet toasts in her name at private gatherings. It’s a quiet form of resistance, born more out of fear for their own fortunes than any deep loyalty to her, but the shift is there.

Sith Qana Vedra has also seen her reputation rise, particularly among the small Zabrak population within the Dominion. Her public defiance of Lord Rhozan has earned her admiration for her courage, with Zabraks viewing her as a symbol of strength and defiance against entrenched power. Vedra's standing within these circles has quietly solidified, even as other parts of the Dominion remain wary.

At the same time, rumours about Vedra's personal life have added a new dimension to the intrigue surrounding her. The whispering in Imperial circles suggests she may be the secret lover of Jellus Valtorin, a claim that many dismiss as baseless gossip, but one that others seem all too eager to believe. For those inclined to indulge in the scandal, the rumoured relationship offers a tantalizing explanation for her fierce support of the Valtorin cause. These whispers, though unsubstantiated, have added a layer of fascination around Vedra, fuelling both gossip and quiet disdain.

In both cases, the influence of the powerful Dekidis family is widely believed to be behind the shifting attitudes of the Imperial elite. With their growing sway over Imperial social and political life, many suspect that the Dekidis family has orchestrated the quiet campaign against Tiln'anar and Verda, seeing their support for the Valtorin cause as a threat to their own ambitions. The subtle social rejection of Tiln'anar’s brands and the whisper campaign against Verda both bear the hallmarks of Dekidis manipulation, further entrenching their power and shaping the narrative within the Dominion’s Imperial circles.

A statement from Jellus Valtorin

znn-png.2015

The article below represents the words submitted by Jellus Valtorin to our offices this evening.

The recent claim by the Dekidis family to the Valtorin mines is nothing short of an unlawful attempt to seize what has long belonged to the Valtorin Domuum. Let it be made clear: this is not a matter of rightful inheritance or dispute over ownership. It is theft, cloaked in false legalities and opportunism, with no basis in truth or tradition.

The Valtorin Domuum has stewarded these lands and their resources for generations, ensuring their productivity and safeguarding the livelihoods they sustain. To suggest that the Dekidis family, who have no legitimate claim, should suddenly possess these assets is an affront to both the Valtorin name and the order upon which the Dominion is built. The claim not only threatens our family but also undermines the stability of property rights, casting a dangerous shadow over the very principles that govern our society.

However, I am not a man without compassion, especially when it comes to my own blood. Livia, though she now stands with the Dekidis family, is my daughter, and as such, she and the grandchild she bears will not be left without means. My offer, therefore, is not a reflection of the Dekidis family’s absurd claims but rather the enduring love of a father for his child.

To ensure that Livia and her future are secure, I propose the following: the Valtorin Domuum will provide Livia with a stipend equal to 25% of the total output of the mines currently under dispute. This will not come from any sense of obligation, nor does it acknowledge any legitimacy to the Dekidis claim. Rather, it reflects my desire to see my daughter provided for, even as she has chosen a different path.

Further, when the Domuum passes into the hands of my son, Horik Valtorin, this provision will not only continue but extend. Livia will receive 25% of the total output from all mines under Valtorin control, not merely the thirty percent currently contested. This will ensure that she and her child remain well provided for, regardless of the Dekidis family’s baseless attempts to take what is not theirs.

This is a fair and generous offer—one that no reasonable person could refuse. It is made not because there is any merit to the Dekidis claim but because I will not see my daughter suffer want or uncertainty. Stability and order must prevail, and this offer ensures that both are maintained.

To all who consider the matter, I would urge them to see this for what it is: a father’s commitment to his daughter, a rejection of illegitimate claims, and an affirmation of what is right. The Valtorin Domuum will remain intact, its legacy unbroken and its territory undivided.

Jellus Valtorin,
Dominus of the Valtorin Domuum

A statement from Special Operative Idun Astra

znn-png.2015

The article below represents the words submitted on behalf of Special Operative Idun Astra, loyal servant of the Dark Lord and veteran of many Imperial victories.

Fellow Imperials,

You are no doubt aware of the most recent power struggle within the Dominion. While ambition and a will to expand should lay close to every Imperial heart, we must remember that it is our duty to maintain order and unity throughout the region. The Dark Lord, and indeed the Empire itself, requires us to work together for the betterment of our cause.

Which is exactly why the disgraceful Valtorins’ greedy ambitions cannot be allowed to sow chaos and discord among us. The Valtorins' disgusting penchant for weaponizing flimsi and bureaucracy is as unimperial as the hideous slob they call their patriarch. That “man” has more in common with a Hutt than any honest Imperial I have ever seen. And just like the Hutts, Jellus Valtorin’s greed manifests not only in his actions, but on his body as well.

The rightful side in this conflict is clear to any true Imperial. On one hand, we have the rich, decadent Valtorins who seek only to hoard more wealth; establishing the very complacent nobility we have hitherto been spared in the Dominion.

And on the other, we have the Dekidis. A family that has fought and bled for the Empire, the Dominion, and you. What kind of Imperials would we be, were we to turn our backs on these brave veterans of our noble struggle?

I understand that this battle of business between the rich and powerful may not seem all that urgent to most of you, but it is so much more than that. While one Donuum stands to gain a few mining rights, we all stand to lose our principles, tradition and purpose.

It is for this reason the Dekidis must be granted their rightful claim.

My name may be unfamiliar. I am no Sith, merely a humble servant of the Empire like you. Yet it is exactly my selfless duty that calls upon me to declare my support for the Dekidis, and it fills me with pride to see such sentiment spread across the Dominion.

My dear brothers and sisters, remain ever vigilant and wary of those who would seek to erode our Imperial values.

Glory to the Empire,

Idun Astra,
Special Operative
Special Operations Group
