The Proving Grounds

The Proving Grounds exist to hone skill with the blade, settle rivalries, and expose who among you is truly worthy of recognition. Those who prevail will claim glory before all. Those who falter will serve as the whetstone that sharpens the strong.

At the beginning of each gathering, any participant may issue an informal challenge. If the challenge is uncontested, it shall be accepted. Refusal is weakness, and weakness may invite my intervention should I deem it fitting. In the absence of a challenge, I or my chosen host will name the duelists.

These will be held once each month, and notice will be given so that none may claim ignorance.

Rules

1. Use of the Force is restricted. Augmentation is allowed, as are some techniques integral to a form.
   
   
2. No retreat, no interruption. Once begun, the duel continues until resolved.
   
   
3. Duel Endings: Disarmament, incapacitation, or submission. Death is not permitted.

Scoring

• Victory: 1 point.
  
  
• Flawless Victory: 3 points. (Defined as a victory without losing a single engagement.)
  
  
• Defeat: 0 points.

A leaderboard shall be maintained to encourage rivalry and to honor those whose skill surpasses their peers. In time, perhaps the Dark Lord will bestow a title upon the one who reigns supreme.
