The Pit is a new factory district installation utilizing the natural landscape of Tobrade to create a network of factories and workshops all focused on a single goal, manufacturing starship components. The design of this monstrous machine pit is that many factories link with one-another to create spiraling rows of droid attended conveyors that refine and assemble from scrap metals and raw materials all the way to the finished components. The complex itself utilizes tunnels and turbo-elevators alongside these conveyors to try and build the most efficient path for goods to travel, while also being able to re-direct goods if needs change suddenly. The complex is droid and automated machine operated with minimal sentient oversight. Any sentient assigned to actual manufacturing work are sent to the very bottom of the Pit, and are not expected to survive their first shift amongst the uncaring automatons. The Pit is located at the base of the mountains surrounding Pikin.
