Expanding Metropolis
Since the foundation of society on Lesser Gambor, Preya has grown as its first and foremost center of its population. Though it's largely forgotten what forms the city took in its younger days, it's grown over the years to become a large industrial complex in its own right that, at times, forgets that it's actually a center for civilization. So dedicated is Preya and its population to their industrial expansions that they live and breathe work, discipline and labour. Surrounded on most sides by swamps and wetlands, the city's made its mark on local environments with its previously lax policies on industrial and toxic waste, dumping the majority of it in the surrounding wildlands and upsetting the local flora and fauna as a result. The toxic dumping has caused generational damages that are affecting the population to this day, with recent years seeing a more concerted effort to clean up and restore some of the corrupted environs - but the city's industry doesn't stop for such lofty and idealistic endeavours.
While some scars still show from the planet's conquest, restoration efforts have successfully rebuilt the parts of the city that suffered most under the bombardments of past years. As part of those efforts, significant expansions in the city's medical industry have propped up the population and prolonged the lives of both young and elderly in hopes of assuring further growth, moving forward.
