Pikin
City of Steam

Pikin has existed as a minor settlement located in the mountainous regions in the East of Tobrade since the time of the Empire's liberation of the planet. Now, after some major improvements to its industrial sector, it can be considered the planet's second major city. The large pyramidal factory which looms over the valley below uses a mixture of automated and droid labour to create electronics such as, clean energy technologies, droid parts and various electronic components. This has led to a new unofficial title being bestowed to the city. Due to the heat distributed from the facility itself and the improved industrial infrastructure supporting the city, snow quickly evaporates, then turns to a dense mist as the freezing process causes tiny ice crystals to dissipate around the city. During particularly heavy snowfall and productive manufacturing, all that can be seen of Pikin from the sky is the upper third of the Pikin Pyramid factory.

As per an agreement with Lord Nar, a third of all manufactured goods from Pikin's new installation are earmarked for export to Tobrade's neighbour world, Damolla.

Port Pikin

Pikin-Spaceport.png

Port Pikin, a small starport nestled within the mountains east of Pikin, offers a new point of freight access to the region. The port is capable of supporting six small to medium freighter craft and marks one of many infrastructural improvements to Tobrade's border territories. Several landing platforms connect to the main control tower via bridges and turbolifts for cargo, with passenger access being provided mainly by shuttles. Much of the materials used in the starport's construction were salvaged from the Horns of Pikin, the infamous symbol of Republic oppression which was destroyed by unknown revolutionaries.

When the treaty of Coruscant was signed, the people of Tobrade realized that it was only a matter of time before the Empire would arrive at their footsteps. Thus, three large communication towers were built on the fields surrounding Pikin. Since their construction, the towers were given the nickname "Horns of Pikin" by the locals due to their architectural design.

Throughout the years, the Horns have not been actively used due to the threat of the Empire deemed to be so far away. That, of course, changed when the battle was brought to their footsteps. Once more, Rear Admiral Zarjo immediately made use of the horns and begun using them as means of Tobrade contacting both the fleet as well as Damolla, should the Empire ever decide to invade either of the two worlds. Today, all three Horns are in active use by the Republic as means of furthering the war effort against the Empire.
