People's Militia of Greyvein
You are the Empire's patriots, every man and woman I see here.
You've come when called, to perform the greatest civic duty of all.
My Master, the Govenor has grand plans for us all.
He cannot do it all alone.
Will you help?
Life isn't easy within the work camps of Greyvein. Harsh working conditions, ever-increasing quotas - it's enough to drive discontent in the most resilient of men. Seeking to better their lives, those especially destitute will often turn to delinquency or worse - sedition. Rebellious thoughts ranging from organized strikes to inciting violence against imperial officers find all too fertile ground within the hearts and minds of the people, but there are yet some who remain unswayed in their loyalty to the Dominion and the Empire. You are the Empire's patriots, every man and woman I see here.
You've come when called, to perform the greatest civic duty of all.
My Master, the Govenor has grand plans for us all.
He cannot do it all alone.
Will you help?
Those strong and without qualms may find employment within Greyvein's unofficial peacekeeping force. Their duties range from regular neighborhood watch to special interventions - busting organised discontentment and breaking illegal strikes that would otherwise take the toll on the town's productivity. Such responsibilities come with due benefits - better housing, reduced shifts and paid meals in the Last Frontier cantina.
Militia patrols are informal in their appearance. Particular watches may choose to pick common pieces of clothing to mark themselves, but the only official sign of a militiaman is a minted, serialized nickel coin they are to present to their watch chief and any imperial authorities upon request. Anyone found abusing a watchman's authority without a such symbol to legitimize themselves is said to face grave punishment.
While often feared, the militiamen are rarely liked. Those brave enough to be outspoken call them brutes and imperial stooges, though such is rarely spoken within earshot without later consequences. Should rumors be believed, the militia's leadership report to the Warden of Greyvein directly, though such claims were never formally confirmed.
