THE LITTLE SISTER INVITATIONAL

Oasis Entertainment is proud to announce the inaugural event of the Halo Circuit, Little Sister Invitational, the first official race to be held at the newly constructed circuit.

Set among the asteroid fields of Little Sister, the racers will not only push their ships to their limit on the long open stretches of space, but test their precision and nerves as they navigate the tight passages of the asteroid field. With Halo Station on the centerstage, spectators will be able to enjoy a front-row view of both the opening and final stretches, while live drone feeds ensure the spectators won't miss a single turn, maneuver or near-miss with the help of the screens inside the station.

Whether you're an aspiring daredevil, a season racer or just confident enough to put your piloting skills to the test, the Halo Circuit is open to you. To further encourage the aspiring racers, the governor of Little Sister, Lord Zazriel, has offered a prize to the winner of the Invitational.

The Little Sister Invitational awaits!

OOC INFO
First of all,
The racing itself works through a mix of basic dice rolls, rerolls and emotes. Below you can find the classes of racers:
ClassDiceRerollsHeadstartPersonality
Daredevil3d6, take highest00Flies on instinct. Commits to every move: no second guessing, or safety net. Either performs brilliantly or goes out in a ball of flames, no inbetween.
Ace2d6, take highest3+1Calculating and adaptable. Reads the situation, makes a calculated decision and adapts. A true professional.
Veteran1d64+3Experience is everything. Doesn't need luck or anything flashy, they've enough skill to make up for it. Makes the best out of a bad situation.
Next up,
After making your pick of racer, fill the following form and post it below.

And finally,
I'll elaborate on the mechanics a bit. The endgoal is simple enough, with the objective being to reach 18 first.

The rerolls are used on the single lowest number you rolled, and uses one at a time. For example, an Ace rolls a 4 and a 1. The Ace decides to use one of their rerolls; it's used on the 1, which then turns into a three. Ace can then choose to reroll again until they run out of rerolls, or just pick the 4 they have.

Headstart is just what it sounds like: a veteran for example starts at 3 out of 18, so they only need to roll dice worth 15 to win the bracket.

The race will play out in brackets. Winner of each bracket advances until there's a single winner of the invitational, though before the final bracket, the "losers bracket" will take place, where those who didn't win their brackets get to compete once more. The winner of the losers bracket advances to the final as the "wild card". Amount of brackets obviously will depend on attendance.

Most importantly, have fun! It's my first time hosting anything like this, or making up a dice system like this, so I'll gladly listen to feedback regarding it after the event for potential future races.
