Dominion Border Guard
The Dominion Border Guard is an agency within the Wethun colony tasked with patrolling the vast asteroid fields and Sha'remi Gateway which leads to the frontier colonies and Hutt Space beyond. It is not a force equipped to deal with external threats or large scale attacks, but rather works to root out smugglers, pirates and undocumented individuals.
The agency is known for ruthlessly enforcing Dominion and Colonial law, using a small fleet of Sentry-class Cutters to patrol the system and chase down suspects, or neutralize ships when necessary. In addition to this, a large freighter crewed by skilled bounty hunters and trackers is used as a makeshift prison barge, where the criminals are stored like common goods. The few who have been released speak of horrible conditions such as cramped spaces, a lack of food and water and airlock expulsion for minor infractions.
A Vigilance Listening Post stands (or floats) as the crown jewel of the Dominion Border Guard. Built on the asteroid WLA-11, it uses powerful scanning equipment to unveil, track and record foreign communication and presences within the Wethun system.
The Dominion Border Guard is in large part funded by the Seneschal Office and the Astra Domuum.
