The merc leader took off his helmet, showing the half-scarred faced Chiss, the Chiss was a logical thinker, and if these were truly Mandalorians he knew they had atleast a hint of honor in them.

Without even asking the mercs surrounding him he pressed one of the buttons. Cancel. For once in his life he wouldn’t question himself. Would it be the first and last time?

As the button was pressed, nothing happened for a few seconds. Outside the sound of eruptions in the early morning sky came through, people inside their homes coming out to point at the sky in various states of panic and confusion.

All of them loud and yelling, some children screaming or crying in concern...

As they stepped outside to gaze upon their choices. The sky was lit up in crimson, as throughout the district, various rooftops of the buildings exploded in the early morning sky. Lighting up the entire Jiaka District.

Fireworks of bright red streaked across the sky, filling the night with flashes of light and pops of the fireworks. Some reveled, some were confused. But for a brief moment, everything and everyone inside the Jiaka District above ground stopped to gaze up at the sky.

The countdown timer at the storefront had dropped down to 00:00:00.

Alark had brought Red Dawn unto Jiaka.

The Chiss had rushed down the stairs and made it outside, he was wet, tired to the point of passing out.

But when he saw the fireworks he just stood there with a warm smile, all his worries leaving for a moment.
Having no idea if there ever had been a bomb or not he ran his arm across his eyes. Hiding his face under the helmet after again. It was time to go home.

But first the group moved to track the signal now, wanting to make sure if there was an actual bomb there or not. They moved with speed now since everyone was busy with the fireworks.

With the most recent communication sent out the atmosphere in Jiaka had changed. Across secured positions in Little Ryloth, Snah, Kinduri and Calix, Imperial forces began quietly preparing for a rapid extraction. Equipment was repacked, transports sat fuelled on standby, and though the fortifications remained manned… the message to the rank-and-file was clear; be prepared to evacuate at a moment’s notice.

With Wraid Company overseeing security and evacuation preparations, Shyrack Company was freed to focus entirely on the second directive of the order. The locating and hunting down of the Mandalorian insurgents who had ignited the conflict.

Patrols doubled, forcing entry into apartments, workshops, warehouses, and derelict commercial blocks, conducting systematic searches of every accessible structure. Civilians were ordered into the streets for identification checks while troopers cleared interiors room by room, searching for hidden occupants, weapons caches, or any sign of insurgent support.

All detainees and refugees were interrogated for leads by intelligence operatives.

The origin of the signal had been tracked down into sewer system beneath the Jiaka District. Seemingly they were piggybacking off of the back of the Tukian Mob's logistic lines. Alark was informed immediately upon discovery to ensure they could leave at a moments notice.

Down the wet, moldy steps of the many sewer entrances, lead to the maintenance level to deal with all the mess from sentients, with the smell confirming that it was still unfortunately in use, even with all the chaos happening above.

The tracker lead a few hundred meters down on of the primary tunnel systems, and down a brief off-shoot inside a side tunnel. While the distance itself wasn't long to cover on foot, shadows from figures moving about constantly zipped by in peripheral vision.

Seemingly in use by people to try to find a way out of the district, though given the lockdown it was hard to find somewhere safe to come up and integrate outside the checkpoint, that however, didn't stop people from trying.

The 19 mercs moved slowly down in the sewers, they had taken their time with everything else and they weren't going to rush things down here.
It seemed they had been told to not fire unless ordered to as none of them fired when they spotted anything, but they would defend themselves if attacked without mercy.

They kept moving towards the signal. leaving any people that might have passed them to do their thing, not stopping to speak to them. Some of the mercs spoke about the smell not being too bad before a shush came from the leader, telling them to focus on the mission.

Further inside, as the group moved towards the signal location. They moved through the damp and decrepit tunnel system to lead to the maintenance side room. Where lay a small room that seemed to be a workshop for the group.

A small black device lay upon the table, acting as a shoddy built relay for the detonator that Alark had found the day prior. Alongside the relay lay several components of weapons, the same ones used by the Mandalorians, though this rifle was in a half dismantled state, missing a few pieces it seemed to have been stripped for parts for repair, though it was still in a half assembled state.

Along the wall was a set of hand drawn posters, detailing a few higher rank individuals inside the Shyrack Company for elimination, seemingly the group was planning to go out with as much of a boom as the district itself.

A tunnel lay further down the room to eventually head back up to the surface of the Jiaka District.

The Unwired slowly began to start packing up whatever supplies they had left, the frequency of their camps diminishing. However they questioned the population of Jiaka quite extensively about the Red Mandos.

Sentiments of unity and the safety of Jiaka being brought up as a reason to find them.

Across Little Ryloth, Snah, Kinduri and Calix squads were immediately rerouted to every known sewer junction, maintenance hatch, and storm drain that connected to the underlevels thanks to Operative Alark. Engineers welded entrances shut and set up portable blast doors to cut off escape as reserve squads took up positions around the main exits.

Probe droids were deployed ahead of each descent, mapping the sewer routes and feeding live telemetry back to the teams. Eventually, the strike teams entered too. Moving through the waist-deep waters and long-abandoned channels in search or their targets. Every intersection was marked, as well as all side routes, narrowing the options the Mandalorians had to run.

As outer routes are secured and sealed, the teams gradually come inwards, drawing closer together to converge for a final confrontation with the aim of taking them in alive.

While the Reeks didn't dare move into the sewers at the same time the imperial kill teams did, the hunt would continue at the ground level as the burly men and women rode their speeders in search for the gangers flushed out on the surface by the troopers.

Meanwhile a few heavier conveyers made their way from Irsur to help transport whatever could be evacuated from local construction sites. It would seem the threat of Jiaka's anihilation was being taken very seriously. While deals were cut with some foremen, driven by prudency or desperation of the second and likely very real death clock, a lot of the work was being made pro bono - either to bolster the Reeks' reputation or to fulfill some myserious but helpful agenda from up high.
