Notable Faculty

Dr. Sira Veylan - Exo-Biologist & Genetic Cross-Specialist
College of Life Reshaping

A tall, silver-haired Mirialan woman in her early 50s, with piercing green eyes. Dresses in flowing lab coats lined with field gear. Meticulous and deeply curious, Sira is obsessed with solving biological puzzles. Speaks softly but has a stubborn streak once engaged in debate.

Pros
Pioneer in controlled interspecies genetic compatibility, aligning closely with the DGI’s goals.
Her research could dramatically accelerate Damolla’s reintroduction of predatory or omnivorous traits.

Cons
Has a reputation for ethics violations on other worlds, drawing scrutiny from oversight bodies.
Her presence may galvanize eco-activist outrage.

Conditions
She signed on on the condition of the University funding a fully independent cross-species genetics facility under her direct control. She also insisted on an Imperial legal clause guaranteeing her work cannot be halted for “ethical concerns” once authorized.

Professor Hally Corren - Sociologist & Cultural Evolution Theorist
College of Mind and Society

Stocky, middle-aged Human female with overly tanned features and a perpetually amused half-smile. Wears layered academic robes in muted earth tones. Charismatic and provocative. Known for challenging assumptions and using rhetorical traps in conversation.

Pros
Specializes in societal adaptation under Imperial governance, providing ideological justification for cultural transformation.
Could become a powerful voice supporting Imperial narratives within the University’s curriculum.

Cons
Her outspoken views often attract controversy; protests tend to follow her.
Tends to undermine local traditions, potentially destabilizing public opinion around the University.

Conditions
Demanded complete authority over her department’s curriculum, including the right to teach controversial theories on cultural assimilation and Imperialization.
Insisted on holding a regular open lecture series broadcast publicly, free from editorial review.

Dr. Janyor Relk - Cybernetic Architect & Adaptive Systems Engineer
College of Systems and Sustainability

Wiry Human male in his early 40s. Keeps his dark hair immaculately slicked back and dresses in understated, military-style academic attire. Precise and analytical, Janyor treats conversation like a chess match, he enjoys verbal sparring but rarely raises his voice. Known for his obsession with efficiency and clean design, he considers biological life “an imperfect substrate waiting to be improved.”

Pros
A leading authority on neural-synthetic interfacing, his methods could enable advanced droid-biological integration.
Advocates for adaptive infrastructure, designing labs, habitats, and research tools that evolve with their users.

Cons
His post-biological philosophy can alarm more traditional thinkers, making him a controversial public figure.
Believes droid autonomy should supersede organics in most systems, creating potential political tension with Damollan legislators.

Conditions
Required a dedicated synthetic–organic interfacing laboratory outfitted with cutting-edge droid cores and neural lattice equipment.
He would not accept restrictions on research that involve heavy cybernetic modification of biological subjects.

Professor Darran Marl - Behavioral Evolutionary Psychologist
College of Mind and Society

Handsome, clean-cut Human male with graying temples and a commanding presence. Known for tailored academic suits and a habit of carrying handwritten notes. Charming and persuasive, with a magnetic lecturing style. Holds a deep belief in conflict as a necessary evolutionary force.

Pros
His research on psychological adaptation under environmental stress pairs perfectly with the ideology the Crucible seeks to assert.
Excellent public speaker, could help reshape Damollan culture from within the University.

Cons
Advocates for engineered conflict scenarios, which could cause deep ethical divides.
Often seen as dangerously extremist by more traditional academics.

Conditions
Insisted on constructing a secure behavioral testing environment where controlled social and psychological stress experiments can be conducted.
Demanded that his research be published uncensored, even if politically volatile.

Dr. Rhyn Tazuun - Immunogeneticist & Evolutionary Pathologist
College of Life Reshaping

Tall, willowy Togruta woman in her mid-30s. Her attire is functional and always covered in research stains. Intensely curious and sometimes blunt to the point of rudeness, Rhyn is driven by a belief that every disease or adaptation tells a story about how life wants to evolve, and she intends to help it along.

Pros
Specializes in genetic immune adaptation, able to design populations capable of thriving under new biological pressures.
Her work also has potential applications in environmental immunity, such as preemptively adapting species for changed soil microbiomes or new diets.

Cons
Obsessed with long-term population-level experiments, often advocating for studies spanning generations — politically sensitive on a pacifist world.
Her lack of patience for bureaucracy can alienate senate allies or funding boards if not carefully managed.

Conditions
Required the University to commit to multi-generation genetic observation programs, potentially spanning decades.
Insisted on legal guarantees of access to live subjects (animal or non-sapient) for controlled adaptation trials.

Dr. Threx Velmor - Economic Ecologist & Resource Allocation Strategist
College of Systems and Sustainability

Broad-shouldered Tukian Twi’lek with finely tailored academic garb. Keeps meticulous datapads and often wears spectacles. Calculating and composed, with a near-fanatical devotion to data-driven decision-making.

Pros
Specializes in balancing ecosystem change with economic viability, ensuring DGI’s work is sustainable long-term.
Can design predictive models for resource use and population growth, valuable for Imperial planning.

Cons
Cold and utilitarian, often devalues native species and cultural traditions in favor of efficiency.
Has worked with megacorporations in the past, raising questions about loyalty and independence.

Conditions
Demanded a permanent seat on the University’s resource allocation board, giving him influence over budget priorities.
Required exclusive rights to collect and model planetary resource data, some of which he intends to monetize for Imperial planners.
