"Then we have a deal?" - Some naive Governor

From: Lord Anairith
To: Governors of Perfidious, Viceroys of Perfidious
Subject: Dominion Supply & Demand

Governors and Viceroys,

As ever, our Dominion grows with its populations swelling and territories going through periods of taming and development. Each world's administrator no doubt has ambitions for what they wish to grow and nurture within their spheres to serve their own purposes, as is their right. However, taking the seat of governance over a world within our Dominion comes with responsibility and expectation, not just privilege.

All worlds within the Dominion serve a purpose and fill a vital need for the rest to grow. No world is self-sufficient and all depend on one another to truly thrive, grow and evolve. None are exempt from the Dominion's laws, regardless of local custom, regulation and identity - and its systems keep all its spaces intertwined and connected. Where the Dark Lord rules, the Governors and Viceroys manage his territories.

Growth necessitates change and adaptation, and it is each administrator's task and duty to keep records of their world's provisions and needs accurately up to date to ensure the continued efficiency of our logistical structures and the growth of the Dominion through its territories. All such records that already exist must be updated, and absentee records must be established.

All Governors and Viceroys are expected to comply and cooperate. Once provisions and needs are mapped out, it will guide efforts to bridge the gaps between the worlds with cooperation from their Governors and the direction and aid of the Seneschal.

- Lord Seneschal Anairith

The aim of this task is for each world to review their Imports & Exports primarily - what the planet provides the Dominion and what it needs from the Dominion to go around. No world is self sufficient. Every world produces something, provides something, and every world will need something in order to do so. You can expand on this into several categories, following the rough template provided below - each need or "dependency" creates roleplay between Governors and vantages for dealings and dynamic relationships between different Governorships and colonies. The items on the lists do not need to be backed up by factual or already existing assets on the world as they are more contingent on your worldbuilding and overarching intentions for your planets, as storytellers/planetary DMs.
  • This task is open to Governors and Viceroys, regardless of rank.
  • The task will run from now until all worlds have complied. If submissions take a long time, past November 20th, there may be IC consequences as the Seneschal and Dark Lord may be displeased.
  • All submissions for this task are to be added to the planetary postings AND posted in this thread in the form of IC comms, detailing the updated listings of Imports & Exports (using the provided template) and any other facet you see fit to update to suit this task.
  • The most immediate reward will be the roleplay created between the worlds, but also the promise of Seneschal points for compliant Governors to pursue either their own goals or to push the development of identified areas of industry on their worlds. Depending on promptness and inclusiveness of submissions, the Seneschal can offer up more rewarding relief.
The template provided below also states the upper limit (for now) in each area, and roughly defines them.

Major Exports (up to 3)(Produced in large quantities, central to planetary economy and identity within the Dominion.)
Minor Exports (up to 5)(Flavour and detail that flesh out the influence of the planet and its presence in markets, but not core to its identity.)
Major Imports (up to 3)(Dependencies, necessary resources that cannot be produced locally and that the planet would struggle to function without.)
Minor Imports (up to 5)(Non-essentials that are brought in for variety, comfort, and so on.)

Find attached Ntari's summary of imports and its primary exports. The primary target now is to grow the colony into an established world, by developing extraction industries as the forefront of civil priority. Secondary targets include developing wider infrastructure to develop a starship building industry upon the world.

I have attached the various imports and exports of Tobrade. I will see to it that Tobrade's capabilities expand to become the most prolific manufacturer within the Dominion. There will come a time where every machine, electronic and starship produced within the Dominion will contain components crafted on Tobrade.

- Lord Artificer Rhôzan

Tobrade

Major Exports
Electronic Components - Capacitors, processors, sensors, circuitry, power modulators, starship parts and many more intricate components make up the bulk of the planet's manufacturing exports.
Machinery - A diverse array of machinery is produced to support industries across the
Dominion both in standard patterns for mining and power infrastructure and made-to-order
for the unique challenges faced by some planets within the Dominion.
Droids - Mining droids are produced in large quantities, while labour, combat, service and protocol droids
are exported to a lesser extent.
Minor Exports
Firearms and Ordinance - Produced for Imperial use to fuel the Dominion's ongoing military
campaigns.
Cybernetics - Excess production of cybernetics are shipped off-world.
Finished Electronic Goods - While Tobrade's primary focus is on creating components, industries on the planet also produce finished products such as data terminals, starship systems and bespoke
technological solutions.
Spice - Tobradian spice is exported to Nova Denedre in compliance with legal requirements
and outside the borders of the Dominion.
Vehicles - Speeders and Starships are still an emerging market on Tobrade but represent the planet's technological competency by being highly tuned and customised for peak performance.
Major Imports
Food - To provide basic sustenance for the population.
Medicine - Both basic and complex pharmaceuticals to keep the population healthy.
Raw Metals - Refined and processed for use in manufacturing.
Minor Imports
Luxury Goods - To improve quality of life on Tobrade for those who can afford it.
Industrial Waste - Refined and processed for use in manufacturing to offset the need for
raw minerals.
Precious Metals - Metals such as gold, silver, doonium and more are imported for manufacturing more delicate machinery and complicated electronic components.
Textiles - To keep the common people decent.
Natural Resources - Oxygen tanks and clean water typically used for stocking starship life-support systems are often imported in small quantities at the request of wealthy denizens.
