Operational Background

With the Republic driven back from the Ixarum system, we are now able to being operations against the Republic in the Whylam system, home to the planets Damolla and Tobrade.

Conquering the Whylam system will allow us to cut-off the strategically important Pancha system from Republic reinforcements, whilst also capturing a vital agricultural and manufacturing centre for the Empire. With Pancha isolated from the food exports of Damolla, it will allow us to lay siege to the Republics regional capital and in time, capture the Tryst Systems for the Empire.

Unfortunately, the Republic fleet under the command of Rear Admiral Zarjo remains formidable and continues to pose a significant threat to our own fleet. For that reason, we must seek to take Tobrade and Damolla through guile and save our fleet for a decisive engagement at an opportune time.

Operation Misguided

The Zula Squadron as well as a sufficiently large ground force shall be forward based at Ixarum IV where they will begin combat drills and staging for invasion. Intelligence shall be leaked to the Republic suggesting that Imperial forces have their eyes set on Ihiri and that we intend to use disruptions on Damolla and Tobrade to distract the Republic from our objective.

The Intelligence Domain will undertake to ensure this fabricated intelligence lands in the hands of Republic forces as soon as possible.

Operation Charming

Tobrade will be the major focus of our efforts, with the objective being to sway Lesum Utteridge to join the Empire. We will do this by fomenting rebellion amongst those aligned with Liberation and the Beneath Our Feet Party, arming them and encouraging them to rise up against the hated Prosperity party.

It will be important than neither Liberation nor the Beneath Our Feet Party understand it is the Empire inciting them to rise, and so it will be required that Sith or Operatives able to pass as Republic citizens act as our mouth piece. Once we have discovered suitable candidates to encourage towards armed rebellion, we will begin arming and training them.

Alongside this activity, we shall also engage in the following:

1. We will aim to damage infrastructure that will cause significant disruption, without destroying it entirely.
2. We will assassinate members of all parties and attribute it to the other groups, but the main losses will be suffered by Liberation and Beneath Our Feet Party as well as important civil figures. We shall aim to make the losses to Prosperity painful, but not structural.
3. We shall undertake a campaign of terror against the citizenry, attributing as much of the violence as possible to Liberation and Beneath Our Feet Party.
4. We will work to destroy Republic military installations on the planet, cloaking them under the guise of militant activity.

Ultimately our goal will be to cause as much chaos and hate as possible, and when it seems the tide is turning against Prosperity and they are at their most vulnerable, we shall offer Lesum Utteridge our assistance in securing her world. With our control of the militia forces arrayed against us already in place, we shall be able to liquidate them in short order as we seize control of the planet by force.

Operation Low Key

Whilst we focus the majority of our resources on Tobrade, we will also seek to cause disruption on Damolla in order to interrupt the food supply to Ihiri, but not halt it altogether, lest this draw direct Republic involvement.

We will engage in acts of assassination and sabotage, whilst also seeking to subtly undermine Republic military facilities and personnel on the planet through bribery, intimidation and assassination, whilst also securing important infrastructure.

Ultimately we require that Damolla is weakened and ready for a quick conquest once we are done with Tobrade.

Operation Sinew

Alongside our objectives on Damolla and Tobrade, we will also launch raids on Republic shipping through the Tryst Systems and beyond, seeking to intercept and capture or destroy cargo headed towards that region of space and thus undermine their capacity to make war.

Phase One

Phase one of our operations against the Republic will commence imminently. This first phase will focus on efforts to encourage civil discord, through targeted assassinations, the spread of propaganda and the sabotage of infrastructure.

Our overall aim during this initial phase will be to prepare the way for the second phase where we will instigate open violence and armed conflict. In order to maximise success, we must be subtle and make the rising tensions appear organic.

Operation Charming

Lord Val'haar, Lord Caldras and Sith Renzacur have been tasked with overseeing our efforts on Tobrade, which shall be the primary target for our efforts. They are to prepare a shortlist of proposed missions they wish to undertake and submit them to myself for review by the final day of each week.

The Tobrade triumvirate should prepare a shortlist of actions that can be undertaken, either in the form of officer led missions or player led tasks. This shortlist should be submitted in this thread by Sunday at 21:00 each week, so Véhemen can select those he wishes the powerbase to pursue.

Operations Sinew

The Shadow Hand shall be assisted by Prime Ceremis and Sith Ennsu in running Operation Sinew to ensure our efforts to interrupt Republic supply efforts are disrupted.

Sinew will play our similar to the task from Ixarum IV, The Front Line, so the role of the three player characters here will be to make sure there are regular efforts as part of Operation Sinew by planning them with other player characters, allocating any resources the Dark Lord provides or else making sure the spoils are shared properly.

Final details of how Sinew will be played out are likely to follow next week.

Intelligence Report: Battle Plan Silver

For the past few week, the intelligence network of Perfidious have gathered information on the Republic's efforts within the Tryst Systems. More specifically, we have received information regarding their military activity not only on Damolla and Tobrade, but also their current fleet. As it stands, the majority of their fleet is positioned near Ihiri within the Whylam system where it has been stationed for some time. Since our previous battle, it has regained some of its strength but is still recovering from its losses.

While Ihiri appears to be most fortified in terms of ground forces, it is evident that the Republic has reinforced Damolla and Tobrade as well. Damolla appears to have a planetary force of approximately 5,000. The planets ground forces appears to be primarily consisting of standard garrison battalions. That being said, there seems to be not only more tactical units present on the planet, but also forces that we cannot identify from afar.

Tobrade has a far greater planetary force which preliminary data indicates to be roughly 8,000. Its ground forces, while also having a fair share of garrison battalions, also consists infantry supported by armoured transports. It should be noted that the number is far from exact as the planet seems to have several defence structures in place to jam any potential attempt of using listening posts and other means of gathering intelligence from afar.
